This year again, the compilation NRJ Music Awards 2013 will come out. Released on December 24 in 2 editions by EMI France, it'll include hits like PSY's "Gangnam Style", Rihanna's "Diamonds" & Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe".
Every year in December, the traditional NRJ Music Awards compilation comes out before Christmas. This year, it'll come out on December 24, for Christmas Eve. This album include 20 hits of the year, with many artists nominated for the next ceremony, on January 26, 2013 in Cannes. This compilation is often N°1 in compilation charts. The previous one, NRJ Music Awards 2012, sold more than 230,000 copies, with 60,000 of them for the first week.
The tracklist is always interesting. The 2013 compilation is available in 2 versions, normal & Deluxe (2CD). There is Rihanna's hit "Diamonds" (on both versions) & also Sexion D'Assaut's "Problèmes D'Adultes", Maroon 5's "One More Night", Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe", PSY's "Gangnam Style" & Chris Brown's "Don't Wake Me Up". Among the French artists, there'll be Shy'm's "On Se Fout De Nous", BB Brunes' "Coups Et Blessures" & Matt Pokora & Tal's duet "Envole-Moi". But there are 2 songs that have surprised us : Leslie's "Ma Génération" & Cauet's "La Fin Du Monde", because none of them are nominated.
On January 26, 2013, many artists will pass on the red carpet. The guest list hasn't been revealed yet but the nominations for the 14th edition are now official. Carly Rae Jepsen, Rihanna & PSY are nominated in 3 categories each. Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Amel Bent, Nolwenn Leroy, Jenifer Bartoli & also David Guetta, Alicia Keys & Nicki Minaj are all nominated in the 10 categories. Because the winners will be chosen by the audience. The 11th trophy will be for "French Song". For this category, viewers are allowed to vote during the show. You have to vote until January 13 on nrj.fr.
