Roxette是一支来自瑞典的国际流行摇滚乐队，他们是ABBA乐队之后的又一支红遍世界的瑞典国宝级乐队。Roxette曾经在80年代末、90年代初刮起一股横扫全球乐坛的流行摇滚风，还记得那时他们到北京巡演时的火爆场面吗？
　　Roxette由词曲作者、主唱、吉他手Per Gessle和多才多艺的女歌手Marie Fredriksson组成，两人组队之前在乐坛上都取得过一些娇人的成绩，Per Gessle着迷于器乐演奏和词曲创作，曾经在Graperock乐队及Gyllene Tider担当吉他手，而Marie Fredriksson也早就从事演唱事业了，两个人都热爱美国60年代摇滚乐，有着共同的音乐追求使他们走到一起并组建了Roxette乐队。1989年，Roxette在EMI旗下推出了“Look sharp”专辑，这是一张令他们真正走向世界的作品，音乐带着它热力四射的摇滚节拍和疯狂而有韵律的吉他演奏而一炮打响，其中包括“The Look”、“Listen To Your Heart”、“Dangerous”等激动人心的歌曲，也是经常被其他艺人翻唱的经典之作。1991年，“joyride”横空出世，并成为白金唱片，创造了他们音乐事业的一个新高峰。
