基本上，【Rudebox】是一张汲取了嘻哈,灵魂,放克大师George Clinton所带动的p-funk节奏,独立摇滚,英国90年代风行一时的baggy节奏,acid house和80年代初期的电子/浩室，经典的流行音乐与当代舞曲音乐等节奏元素制作而成的酷炫专辑，信不信由你，这也是一张粉流行的专辑，只不过，不是普通的流行音乐专辑就是了!!  
【Rudebox】专辑的黄金制作阵容包括了打造玛丹娜4座葛莱美奖得奖专辑“Ray Of Light”的英国电音制作奇葩William Orbit，史上最酷的流行电子音乐双人组Pet Shop Boys，英国迪斯可/浩室舞曲怪杰Dave 'Joey Negro'Lee[*也曾化名为Jakatta]，驰骋英国舞场近20年，曾帮罗比打造过冠军曲"Rock DJ"的浩室双人组合Soul Mekanik，制作过Lily Allen专辑的纽约DJ/制作高手Mark Ronson。  
【Rudebox】专辑里有全新创作曲，有经典名曲新玩法，还有混搭多样风格的东西，首支进驻英国金榜第4名的单曲"Rudebox"是取样自老牌雷鬼摇摆乐组合Sly & Robbie名曲"Boops (Here To Go)"，歌曲中将流行,电音,摇滚与放克等节奏元素与罗比独特的歌声调和成一种奇特的节奏空间，听起来就像是罗比身处1983年喧嚣的纽约街头，跳着带电的保家乐舞。Mark Ronson为专辑制作了4首歌曲，其中包括内定为第2首单曲的"Lovelight"，在这首重唱自英国灵魂美声男歌手Lewis Taylor的歌曲中，罗比不但秀了精湛的假音唱腔，还把歌曲变成一首迷幻的迪斯可舞曲，而英国排行小公主Lily Allen特地在同样由Ronson所制作的"Bongo Bong And Je Ne T'aime Plus","Keep On"这2首歌曲中担任和声，"Bongo Bong And Je Ne T'aime Plus"是将法国籍拉丁民谣歌手Manu Chao的这首世界音乐经典作感染上颓废、放荡的性格。Pet Shop Boys与罗比合作2首歌曲，一首是向玛丹娜致敬的"She's Madonna"，一首是重新把玩Pet Shop Boys自己也曾翻唱过，来自纽约电子舞曲乐团My Robot Friend的歌曲"We're The Pet Shop Boys"。
