And now, starting with the Binaural+ sessions, Chesky Records has taken that approach to the next level. Singer-Songwriter Amber Rubarth, Cellist Dave Eggar, Violinist Tim Snider and Percussionist Chuck Palmer join forces, and combine their unique musical vocabulary to create Sessions from the 17th Ward. Together, this innovative team fuses classic songwriting and acoustic music to create a sexy, yet sophisticated album.


NEW YORK, NY – October 4, 2012 – Over the course of her career, singer-songwriter Amber Rubarth has been lauded for her live performance – creating an intimate atmosphere as though she’s singing right to your soul. It’s this quality of craftsmanship and sincerity in her songwriting that NPR’s Bob Boilen admits, “I was attracted by her honesty and humor.” And the Huffington Post’s Phil Ramone regards her as “part of the new old-soul generation.”

This fall, Amber (guitar, piano, vocals) is creating unique new arrangements of her songs accompanied by Grammy-nominated Deoro - Dave Eggar (cello, vocals), Ariel Dela Portilla (bass), and Chuck Palmer (drums) - atthe Pro-Arts Educational series in Virginia in addition to tour dates and festivals.
