Morissette最早在美国曾经是一名童星，后来成为流行舞曲届的宠儿，
经过迈克杰克逊制作人的提醒，她找了一帮摇滚圈的优秀乐手转做摇滚曲
风的作品，经过麦当娜的提携，最终成为流行乐坛的新女天王。
   她一开路就且尝试自己创作词曲，1995年所推出的那张以吉他
键盘以及传统/电子鼓交织而成的专辑，当时给人耳目一新的
感觉，在全球已销售3千万张，并且已成为音乐史上最成功的唱
片之一。一时间她似乎同Pj Harvey 、Liz Phair及Tori Amos
等摇滚女将相提并论。Morissette曾被称为“天使与恶魔”的
结合，她的创作才华也一度被人分外看好，看她99年在Wood
stock上的表演，也还能感到她的精气神，她一把吉它还算弹得
有滋有味。
　　Alanis Morissette这几年的两张专辑，都是自已担纲制作人，
她希望主导自己专辑的制作，可却因此也更迷惘，她花了几年的时
间认真思考，很好奇如果完全只靠自己来做一整张专辑，会是怎样
，可是这一切都显的太乱，她的心的确乱了。我不知道她在唱些什
么？所谓的主打歌“verything”也流于平庸”，再也没有当年的
《Jagged LittlePill》惊艳而又新鲜的感觉，她企图用一些很时髦
的东西来修饰她的音乐，她担心自已会落伍于这个时代，可这样的
多种措施过后，也无法挽救她在音乐上的衰败，相比于她的“伯乐”
麦当娜，她缺乏一些更老到和更迷人的个性化表述，虽然仍然能在
“新作中嗅到不安、矛盾、冲突、困惑与无解等元素”，但这一切
都没有散发出应有的魅力，她想唱一首最极至崇高的情歌，可即使
是再重唱一遍，它也是只是她心头的一首歌，这个世界依旧忙忙碌
碌的等待着被下一首歌感动。
