　　当Kelly Price於'98年以首支单曲"Friend Of Mine"走红乐坛时，她那浑厚且深具感情的嗓音，且如录音般的现场演唱功力，更是让整个歌坛惊艳不已，半自传式专辑《Soul Of A Woman》的曲风和歌词也普遍获得好评，并企图给予听众一个360度全方位的Kelly Price，不仅收入一首福音歌曲，其他如诉说遭好朋友背叛抢走男朋友的"Friend Of Mine"，或是"Sister"中只要还没有绝望、再多加一点希望的激励，呈献给歌迷完全的Kelly Price，她说：「这张专辑是献给世界各地的女人，但是如果真的深入核心中，其实真正只和一个女人的灵魂有关，我的灵魂！」
