Frédéric Lerner was born on December 21, 1972 in Paris, France.No one was an artist in his family : his father worked in informatics and his mother was a secretary. He had a lovely childhood with his parents and his little sister. At 14, he entered Saint-Etienne's football club but he gave up sometime later : since that date he started to play guitar and compose songs. After passing his exams (G3 and commercial BTS), he studied acting at Cours Florent : there he first heard the song "Cybélia". He went to many record companies but none of them signed him, and at the same time, his girlfriend left him : during 4 months, he worked as a camping host in South of France.
In 1999, back in Paris, he decided to record a new version of "Cybélia". One of his friends talked about him to [I]Jean-Claude Camus[/I], Johnny Hallyday's manager, who became Frédéric's manager the following year. During one year, Frédéric wrote songs, and the fairytale started when he recorded during six months in Lomme, near Lille : on April 10, 2001, was released his first album On Partira. Twelve songs were composed by Frédéric and [I]Félix Gray[/I], Fred Blondin, [I]JCH[/I] and Robert Goldman, a French singer's brother, who composed the first single "Si Tu M'Entends". In 2002, Frédéric was performing on stage before Yannick Noah, and the following year, before Johnny Hallyday.
On November 10, 2003, he released his second album Être Libre, with ten songs produced by [I]Pierre Jaconelli[/I], [I]Erick Benzi[/I] & [I]Patrick Hampartzoumian[/I], and Marc Lavoine wrote the lyrics of "Il Faut Se Faire L'Amour". Two years later, Frédéric recorded a duet with Swedish popstar [I]Indra[/I], "Besoin De Vous". His third album Ca Passe Ou Ca Casse was released in April 2007.
