Out of hundreds of possible selections in the    專輯介紹： Paul Cardall 生於1973年4月24日，自小患有先天性心臟病，曾經被告知生命將至，但他沒有因此放棄生活的希望，整個童年陪伴他的都是系列的外科手術，而音樂帶給他安慰。Paul Cardall 從8歲起開始練琴，6個月後因故停止，直至十年後的高中他最好的朋友死於車禍。悲傷的 Paul Cardall 譜寫了一首音樂以作哀敬，並一發不可收拾，陸續寫幾十首歌曲收錄在《Sign of Affection》裡。在假期，他找了為當地的百貨公司彈鋼琴演奏的工作，並銷售他的錄音唱片,其中有一張唱片的購買者是 Richard Paul Evans，暢銷書《The Christmas Box》的作者。Richard Paul Evans 邀請 Paul Cardall 為他的書譜曲，由此出了專輯，名為《The Christmas Box》並於1997年發行。隨後他與 Narada 公司簽約。兩年後 Paul Cardall 努力發行新專輯《The Looking Glass》，其靈感同樣來自 Richard Paul Evans 的小說。這兩張唱片在1999年12月上了Billboard雜誌 New Age 前25名。
