本专辑收录了45首适合在婚礼上演奏的古典音乐，均由著名音乐家演奏，可用于各种婚礼，既可以是在大教堂举行，包含交响乐团，合唱团和歌唱家的宏伟皇家婚礼，也可以是只有小管风琴或竖琴的简约婚礼，甚至只需在婚礼上用一台CD唱机播放唱片中的几首乐曲就行。专辑曲目既有适合宗教婚礼的教堂音乐，也有适合非宗教婚礼的世俗音乐，而且涵盖了婚礼的各个环节，包括圣餐礼（或点燃蜡烛）部分。当然，部分乐曲也能用于其他仪式上。
