The follow-up to 2018's Fever, Sand takes the work of Belgian indie pop band Balthazar in new and more soulful directions. Described by the group as a record concerned with "waiting" and "restlessness," the album takes its name from the sand in an hourglass, a symbol of time's passage. With its cover derived from the sculptures of Margriet Van Breevoort, Sand saw release in February 2021.
