《怪獸與葛林戴華德之罪》將於11月15日在香港上映，電影繼續由拍過四集《哈利波特》和首集《怪獸與牠們產地》(Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them)的David Yates執導，而《哈利波特》作者J. K. Rowling早已於前年八月已經完成電影的劇本。
這電影將會是五部曲裡的第二集，而系列的其他電影都會保留"Fantastic Beasts"這兩個字，並像《哈利波特》(Harry Potter)一樣，在"and the"之後加上一個副標題。雖然這次的英文標題不是"Fantastic Beasts and The Crimes of Grindelwald"，但它的中文名稱仍然保留「與」字。
