《盗火线》是1995年美国十分卖座的一部警匪动作片。片中那生动的情节和激烈的枪战场面吸引了不少的观众。然而影片的出色之处却远不止于此。影片对人物内心世界的深入探索和展示，使影片具有了更加动人的魅力。 　　
在影片中，无论罪犯和警察都不是单纯以各人所处的角色而存在，而是作为生活中的人而有血有肉地展现在观众的面前。警官汉纳意志坚强，能力超群。然而他的婚姻却一再陷入危机，个人生活极不顺利，他的烦恼与痛苦也感染了观众，使人们不由得对他产生了一抹同情。而匪徒麦考利和克里斯虽然犯案累累，却在生活中有着截然不同的另一面。麦考利举止文雅，风度翩翩，极富男性魅力。克里斯对妻子的脉脉温情也使人很难把他和疯狂抵抗警察追击时的凶悍形象联系起来。他们都是温柔而富有爱心的人物，热爱生活、忠于爱情，又有谁能说他们是生性凶残的暴徒呢？而麦考利最后毅然放弃了逃生的机会而走向惩戒叛徒的不归路，更为影片增添了一丝悲壮的气象，也使人物的形象更为生动和感人。 　
This is a downbeat and brainy set of mostly instrumental tracks from the likes of Kronos Quartet, ECM guitarist Terje Rypdal, guitarist Michael Brook, and Lisa (Dead Can Dance) Gerrard. Highlights include "Always Forever Now" by Passengers (Brian Eno, U2), and Moby's mordant cover of Joy Division's "New Dawn Fades." --Jeff Bateman
