Theo Lawrence & The Hearts is a band from Gentilly near Paris. The band is composed Theo Lawrence (logic, you say you) to singing and guitar, Olivier Viscat on bass, Louis-Marin Renaud on guitar, Thibault L. Rooster on drums and Nevil Bernard to keyboards.

Quintette subsequently struck again by publishing their first EP on November 25, 2016 and in view of their first publication, he was eagerly awaited. The least that can be said to listen to this Sticky Icky is that the test is transformed for this group more than promising.

The first of five pieces is the playful Sticky Icky that sets the tone of the disc, very retro while bringing its touch of modernity. Ali, the second title is in the lineage of the previous one. Everything here is perfectly in place, beautiful, warm, brilliant and Theo Lawrence’s vocal flights are beautiful.

The next title Good For Nothing also has a superb composition and a very catchy guitar gimmick. Made To Last is distinguished by its hunching chorus and sublime distant arpeggios in the mix, one of the record’s highs.

The album ends with Heavenly Dog, calmer than the rest of the EP, but no less successful, with keyboard notes bringing the latest rays of sunshine on this brilliant work. We have with this first EP a very nice record from Theo Lawrence & The Hearts, homogeneous in terms of quality. The music is beautiful, well composed and superbly produced. And let’s add musicians with incredible talent who, moreover, put their heart into their music.
