1965年，将近四十年前，美国有个叫"The Toys"的女声合唱团，神来之笔将巴赫小步舞曲，几乎每个学钢琴的人都弹过的一首小品改编成流行音乐，填上看来不怎么起眼的歌词，重新命名为“A Lover Concerto” 恋人协奏曲， 结果大受欢迎，成为当年排行榜的耀眼明珠，是流行歌坛的少见异数。陈慧琳翻唱的此版本是1998年电影《安娜玛德莲娜》(Anna Magdalena) 中的插曲--香港电影金像奖最佳原创电影歌曲。陈慧琳演绎的一曲《A Lover's Concerto》贯穿了整部电影，影片最后以主人公的一句“没有公平，只有运气，有人找到他的莫敏儿，有人穷其一生之力也找不到，世界总是如此”结束。 也许这个世界就是这样吧，不仅爱情如此，其它事情更是这般。
