“芝加哥”合唱团（Chicago）是由Te-rry Kath 和
Walt Parazaider 在1966年组成的，起初团名曾是
“the Missing Links”和“the Big Thing”，随后
在名制作人的建议下正式改名为“Chicago”。









1978年Terry意外身亡，贝司手肩负起主唱的职务，专辑
《Chicago 17》成绩斐然。1985年Pet-er Getera离
开单飞，新主唱Jason Sheff加入，目前Chicago的成员
有Bill Champlin（键盘手，吉它手兼主唱)，Robert
Lmmm（键盘乐器兼主唱)，Lee Loughname（小喇叭手）
Walt Parazaider（木管及打击乐器），Jimmy Panknow
（伸缩喇叭手）Danny Sera-phine(鼓手)，Jason Scheff
(贝司兼主唱)，Dawagne Bailey（吉它手）。






Chicago 和Blood，Sweat And Tears这种大型编制的乐团
在70年代开始惹人注目，他们以管乐摇滚（Brass Rock）为
号召，来和其他的摇滚类型做分野。Chicago 的组织特征除了
摇滚乐团的吉它、鼓、贝司和主唱外，另有管乐编制，所配用
乐器包括了小号、长号、圆号、萨克斯等铜管乐器，它将(Big
Band) 大型爵士乐队音乐风格引入摇滚的创作中，形成一种爵
士摇滚的雏型。









Chicago 至今已推出20余张专辑，单曲《25 or 6 to 4》,
《If You Leave Me Now》，《Hard to say I'm Sorry》，
《Stay the Night》，《Hard Habit to Break》，
《You're the Inspiration》，《Will You Still Love Me》,
《I Don't Want to Live Without Your Love》，《Look
Away》，《You're Not Alone》都是大众耳熟能详的歌曲。






对于一个成立已达20年的乐团来说，能够屹立于流行乐坛而且
历久弥新，始终保持着他们一贯的抒情曲风，实在是很难能可贵
的。
