HiRes音乐简介:
Two years after Inform-Educate-Entertain came out in 2013, Public Service Broadcasting examined the early years of space exploration, between 1957 and 1972, in their album The Race for Space. With help from the BFI (British Film Institute) as well as the American and Russian space agencies, the London group was able to put together this incredible project, with official speeches and conversations with astronauts set to melodies that bear the mark of all of PSB’s many musical influences. This completely unique concept album mixed post-rock, new age, prog rock, funk and electro. Its follow-up is centred on a much more terrestrial theme: with Every Valley, PSB takes a look at the decline of the Welsh mining industry! As per usual, J. Willgoose, Esq., Wrigglesworth and J F Abraham use a wealth of sound archives to evoke the sad story of a neglected and dying community. In these times of cynical and populist politics, the work has a powerful resonance. It should be noted that PSB set out on this human and musical adventure in the company of the Beaufort town choir, James Dean Bradfield of the Manic Street Preachers, Welsh singer Lisa Jên and Tracyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura.
