Damon & Naomi - The Mirror Phase

说到Damon & Naomi不得不提到另一支大名顶顶的dream pop乐队Galaxie 500，随着1991年三人团体Galaxie 500的解散，鼓手Damon Krukowski和贝司手Naomi Yang打算退出音乐圈。两人受乐队解散的打击，集中精力打理超现实的小发表社Exact Chang。他们偶尔也写歌。1995年Damon & Naomi与日籍团体Ghost在日本相遇，双方尽管语言不通，却一拍即合地透过音乐成了挚友。接下来，两个团体经常在日、美两地共同巡回演出，Ghost也经常演奏Damon & Naomi的歌曲，于是促成共同创作专辑的念头。后来双方交流音乐与制作的种种概念，Ghost也以自己的创作，交付Damon & Naomi填词。

专辑《Damon & Naomi With Ghost》已被誉为是“独立摇滚和梦幻流行乐之经典中的经典”。在Dream Pop和Psych-folk的领域，Damon & Naomi一向不是Red House Painters那么自闭的诗人，也不会像Mazzy Star一样黯淡到哀伤的地步，他们总是在音乐开放的美感与私密的语词中聪明的维系着张力。
