《Rattle and hum》（1988），一张比较完美的现场专辑,收录几乎整个U2早期的名曲，而且其现场演唱作品与录音室作品相比，更能烘托出一些现场独有的激情和热烈。在“I still haven't found what I'm looking for”里加入的R&B黑人女歌手的和声，以及把“With or without you”连唱，似乎这些小花招更适合美国听众的口味。可惜这张专辑及电影在美国销售并不成功.但我们也能隐约嗅到“市场决定一切”的U2心声了。
