Singer-songwriter John Mayer has released a limited edition acoustic EP of some of the songs from his new album Continuum.
Earlier this week Mayer was nominated for five Grammy awards—three for his work on Continuum, one for his cover of "Route 66" for the Disney movie Cars and one for his work as a part of the blues rock group the John Mayer Trio.

The Village Sessions was released yesterday (December 12) and contains acoustic versions of five of the tunes from Continuum. Harkening back to his first album Room for Squares, the EP has a more stripped down feel.

The disc also includes an alternate version of his first single "Waiting on the World to Change," featuring fellow singer-songwriter Ben Harper, who collaborated with Mayer on the tune "Belief" off of Continuum.
