This fall, the former Velvet Underground member John Cale will release a new solo album that for some reason he’s decided to call Shifty Adventures In Nookie Wood. The first single is a triumphant psychedelic rock tune called “I Wanna Talk 2 U,” and you can hear it below. It’s better than anything on Lulu, so advantage Cale.
John Cale，一名無法用三言兩語匆匆帶過的傳奇人物，他與現也是搖滾大頭的 Lou Reed 被認為是日後搖滾樂發展甚巨的先驅團體 The Velvet Underground 的兩大支柱。正統的古典音樂訓練，加上深受 John Cage 等現代音樂大師影響的他，將前衛風格帶入 VU，美國搖滾樂豐富多變的歷史就此展開。離開 VU 的他也未停下腳步，以驚人的創作力持續生產了橫跨各領域的專輯，個人作品也持續不息，日前再發表新作「Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood」將於今年 10 月發行的消息。讓我們先一同來看他今年於比利時的表演。
