Jewel在ATLANTIC唱片公司旗下发行了处女作——“Piece Of You”。当时还没有人知道乐坛有个叫Jewel的歌手，但当专辑中的第一首单曲“You Were Meant For Me”没人们听到并且登上单曲榜后，Jewel才逐渐被人们所了解。“You Were Meant For Me”很快获得了成功，随后专辑中其它几首歌曲如“Foolish Game”、“Who Will Save Your Soul”也作为单曲发行并且取得了成功，其中“Foolish Game”还收录在电影《蝙蝠侠与罗宾》的原声唱片中。Jewel的歌词创作达到了相当高的水平，她不仅写歌还经常写诗。有诗意的歌词加上优美的旋律还不是Jewel风格的全部，她的音乐中另外一个吸引人的重要原因是她那甜美的、天使般的嗓音。“Piece Of You”专辑值得民谣乐迷收藏。
