德国的国际级制作人Shantel，以标准的铜管乐队纯演奏模式，把独特的罗马尼亚及乌克兰交接处的吉普赛音乐搬到夜店舞台上；另一位德国DJ制作人Stefan Mueller则找来了土耳其制作人，合组了Eastenders，将浓浓的中东及波斯神秘旋律完美的与吉普赛融为一体；而乌兹别克的Karen Gafurdjanov及以色列的Balkan Beat Box也都散发着强烈的中东味；在捷克及匈牙利这两个吉普赛大本营，也听得到Gipsy.cz及Anselmo Crew两大团体的标准铜管巴尔干韵味。
他的祖父母，曾创造巴尔干舞蹈音乐曲目，像“迪斯科帕尔蒂扎尼”。

The Berlin techno DJ struck Euro-gold when he embraced the gypsy music beloved of his grandparents to create Balkan dance hits like "Disko Partizani". This second album repeats the fusion of fiddles, accordions and blazing brass with reggae rhythms and club beats. The celebratory mood and melodic hooklines are infectious, and on tracks like "Usti Baba" the blend of yearning eastern European voices and loping ska has real subtlety. By contrast, Shantel's conception of "Planet Paprika" as a borderless dance republic results in cheesy oompah disco, albeit perfectly tailored for party revelry. Behind both the comedic crowd-pleasers and the brilliant musicianship lies an original talent.
