C-Stones - Friday Night Forever
The group "C-Stones" are: Olafs Bergmanis, Liva Boitmane and Zane Belska who come from Ventspils and sang in children's popgroup "Sea Stones" in their childhood.
In 2002, C-Stones participated in the Eurovision Song Contest National Selection with the Jay Stever-penned song "My Love Is For You" and made it to the National Final.
On 1 July 2002, C-Stones signed a contract with production agency "Aktiv Music" about album recording and the group's management.
In November 2002, their debut single "Your Lover" hit radio airwaves all over Latvia. The song was specially written by Diane Warren, one of the most successful contemporary song-writers, responsible for the chart-success of Elton John, Cher, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, NSYNC, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias and others. She has also penned the multi-platinum international hit "Can't Fight The Moonlight" for LeAnn Rimes and "Un-break My Heart" for Toni Braxton.
On 1 February 2003, C-Stones took part in the Eurovision Song Contest National Selection Final in Ventspils with the Martins Freimanis-penned song "When The Rain Will Go". In keen competition of 15 songs, C-Stones finished the seventh, ahead of such popular Latvian artists as Jay Stever and Caffe.
C-Stones' debut album "Makin' My Way" was released on 1 September 2003 under "Microphone Records" label, followed by a premiere of group's first music video for album's title track.
On 11 December 2003, C-Stones performed "Touchdown!" at the LNT Video Music Awards and won the Top Of The Pops Magazine awards for best pop group 2003.
On 28 February 2004, C-Stones participated in the Eurovision Song Contest National Selection Final with their own song, "All You Know", and according to the TV-viewers voting, placed No.4, ahead of such popular Latvian artists as Z-Scars, Chilli and 4th Element. The international jury, which selected the ten finalists, had placed the song No.1!
In March 2004, C-Stones "Makin' My Way" album was released in the Philippines via Dyna Music label.
In August 2004, C-Stones management signed a contract with Lithuanian producers SRP about group's participation in the popular TV show "The National Music League", aired on LNK.
On 1 October 2004, C-Stones' second album "Friday Night Forever" was released in Latvia via Microphone Records and won the Best Dance Album 2004 award at the 8th Annual Latvian Music Awards, held on Feb.12, 2005, in Riga.
