很多人认识P.M.Dawn都是从这张《of the heart,of the soul and the cross the utopian experience》开始的。专辑主打歌《Set Adrift on Memory Bliss》居然别出心裁地“盗用”了Spandau Ballet的成名曲《True》作为采样，哦买高！
1988年，新泽西州泽西市的AttrellCordes与Jarrett Cordes兄弟组成了这一支上个世纪美国最为成功的hiphop组合之一的P.M.Dawn。90年代初，他们凭借融合了hip hop、older soul与 R&B风格的音乐获得了巨大的交叉成功。1988年的首张单曲《Ode to a Forgetful Mind》推出之后，P.M.Dawn发行了他们的首专《of the heart,of the soul and the cross the utopian experience》（1991），凭借单曲《Set Adrift on Memory Bliss》的骄人成绩乐队获得了评论界的一致好评并取得了立竿见影的商业成功。1993年的二专《the bliss album…?》继续受到评论家的好评，《I'd Die Without You》、《Looking ThroughPatient Eyes》等单曲延续着乐队的成功。乐队其余的录音室专辑有《Jesus Wept》（1995）、《Dearest Christian》（1998）与《…edMusic》(2000仅数字发行)。
