Edward Maya是罗马尼亚的音乐家，制作人，演员和作曲家。他毕业于处在布加勒斯特的乔治埃内斯库音乐高中（George Enescu Music High School），目前还在布加勒斯特音乐学院（Bucharest Conservatory）就读，还有最后一年就毕业 。在他19岁的时候，Edward Maya与Eduard Carcota一起创作了一首歌曲（Mihai Traistariu – Tornero）参加了2006年欧洲歌唱大赛（Eurovision Song Contest 2006），这首歌曲获得了比赛的第四名。这次的突破之后，使得他忙碌起来，与很多罗马尼亚的许多海外艺术家签订了合作合同。这些艺术家分别是：Akcent, Costi Ionita, Vika Jigulina, Cassa Loco, Studio One, DjRynno, Dj Sava, Marius Nedelcu, Blaxy Girls, Imba, Liviu Hodor等。2009年的夏天，Edward Maya以歌手的身份发表了他的第一首歌曲"Stereo Love"，登上罗马尼亚单曲榜（the Romanian singles charts）的第二位。09年底，"Stereo Love"在世界各地的俱乐部成为大热歌曲。这次的成功在世界音乐会之后，歌曲"Stereo Love"在荷兰、英国和比利时等地的流行歌曲排行榜上都榜上有名。在不到12个月内， "Stereo Love"在YouTube网站里获得了超过7500万的意见。"Stereo Love"成为欧洲流行榜最热门单曲、上榜时间最长前100单曲之一（ the longest song in the history of European top Hot 100），累积长达52周之久。单曲Desert Rain 为其联手Vika Jigulin于2011年发行的单曲。
