Dreamland is a new Spanish boy band formed with the cast of upcoming 2014 TV series with the same name ‘Dreamland‘, scheduled to premiere this Spring on Cuatro via Mediaset Spain. The series led by Frank Ariza in which music and dance are the essence.
In the style of other series like the successful ‘Un paso adelante‘ (2002) or the failure ‘18‘ (2008). This time, Mediaset tries again. Will it be successful? Unfortunately, I think not.
The band is formed by Christian Sánchez, lead vocalist, with Javier Taboada, Gerard Martí, Xoan Forneas and Javier López. Their debut single is called ‘Everybody Dance‘ and it was co-written by Cristian with the collaboration of Fran Ariza, who created the series.
The song is a cheap pop production with guitar chords, and where the lead vocalist does a rap. Pretty expendable. A song so weak, that reminds me of the another Spanish newcomer boy band Y5, also created through TV show ‘El Hormiguero‘. Seriously, devote yourselves to something else.
‘Everybody Dance‘ was released on digital retailers on February 10, 2014 via Sony Music Entertainment. The single will be included on their upcoming debut album, scheduled for release this Spring.
