Michael Learns To Rock 簡稱 MLTR﹐由主音及琴鍵手 Jascha Richter﹑鼓手Kåre Wanscher﹑結他手Mikkel Lentz和貝斯手Søren Madsen組成於1988年。1991年出版首張專輯Michael Learns To Rock頗受到歐洲市場歡迎﹐其後的Colours (1993) 更打開了東南亞市場﹐1995年終憑一首That’s Why You Go Away進佔成功。此曲來自Played On Pepper (1995/EMI) 專輯﹐屬於一首 Rock Ballad﹐調子與歌詞都簡單﹐卻又深情的主流作品﹐風格頗80年代。此專輯於泰國﹑馬來西亞﹑台灣﹑新加坡﹑印度﹑菲律賓﹑南韓皆取得數白金或白金銷量﹐全球出售過120萬張。
